Welcome Back Letter

Dear CBA Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Clayton-Bradley Academy! We are thrilled to begin another year of joyful learning, deep relationships, and continued innovation as we live out our mission: to ensure that every student excels in critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and the application of our Lifelong Guidelines and LIFESKILLS.
As we enter our 13th year, the energy on campus is electric. We are more committed than ever to “Igniting the Power of Learning” through our brain-based, research-driven model that blends project-based learning with mastery-based grading. Our vision to “Reimagine Education” is not just a slogan—it’s something we see come to life every day in classrooms, advisories, and performances across campus.
This year, we’re taking our mission even further through the Torchbearer Fund, the foundation of our annual giving efforts. The Torchbearer Fund is built around the four cornerstones of CBA. Each quarter, we’ll focus on one cornerstone, offering opportunities for connection, celebration, and community support:
First Quarter: Mentorship
At Clayton-Bradley Academy, relationships are a vital part of who we are. We look forward to our Bobcat Buddies being back together this year and continue building community among our PreK–12th grade students. We also invite all families to attend our weekly Family Gatherings on Wednesday mornings from 8:30am–9:00am to celebrate student learning and community. To kick off the year, join us for our Ice Cream and Watermelon Family Social on August 1st, directly after school—we look forward to seeing you there!
Second Quarter: Athletics
Our athletics programs are thriving, with more students signed up for fall sports than ever before. We are excited to watch our teams continue to grow and develop across all levels—from TSSAA competition in high school, to KISL in middle school, to our foundational Bobcat programs in Lower School. Mark your calendars and come cheer with us at our Fall Celebration and 5K on October 25th and our spirited School Tailgate on December 4th!
Third Quarter: Academics
Watching our students grow and develop academically is one of the greatest joys each year. Whether it’s Open Markets, Poetry Showcases, Circle of Functions, Medieval Fairs, or Capstone Presentations, our classrooms are full of creativity and depth. We’re also proud to see students challenge themselves through academic competitions like the Spelling Bee, The Amazing Shake, ExploraVision, National History Day, Greenpower Racing, and more. Be sure to mark your calendar for Dr. Bill Daggett’s visit on February 3rd–4th and our Family Bingo Night on February 19th—two events that highlight the excitement and community around learning at CBA!
Fourth Quarter: Performing Arts
Our students in the performing arts always shine, and we know this year will be no exception. From learning new stringed instruments in 5th grade to performing in our high school ensembles, our students continue to amaze us with their talent and dedication. Whether it’s the creativity of our National Art Honor Society members, the energy of the Fall Play, or the magic of the Spring Musical, the arts are alive at CBA. Be sure to join us for the Ignite Gala Dinner & Auction on April 24th and the Clayton Golf Classic on May 22nd as we celebrate and support the incredible gifts of our students.
We invite every family to take part in the Torchbearer Fund this year. Your involvement, whether through attendance, volunteering, or giving, helps fuel the programs that make CBA such a remarkable place to learn and grow.
We’re grateful to walk into this new school year with each of you. Let’s make 2025–2026 our most inspiring and impactful year yet! Let’s Ignite the Power of Learning!
With gratitude and excitement,
Pat Bradley and Kendall Terry
