Lower School Welcome Letter

Dear Lower School Families,

I want to take just a moment to welcome you to our beautiful campus. I am excited to meet you and your families as you join us in July for an amazing adventure here at Clayton-Bradley Academy. Feel free to stop by the office and introduce yourself and your child to me.

We have so much to offer your children as they join us this school year. As a parent, I know it can be overwhelming and even scary to make new changes and meet new friends. Please know that our teachers and I are here to support and assist you in any way we can. 

Some ways to connect with our Clayton-Bradley community and staff include attending our family socials and school events. These events happen at different times throughout the school year. Please check the school calendar for dates and times or call the school office.

You are also invited to attend our Wednesday morning Family Gatherings. They start at 8:30 in the Family Center.  Different grade levels will present to the whole school. The gathering is usually finished by 9:00. 

Another important component of Clayton-Bradley Academy is our Home Visits. The teachers will be reaching out to you as a new family to schedule a short visit to your home with you, the parent, and your child assigned to their class. This is only a 20-minute visit, just for you to get to know your child’s teacher and for the teacher to get to know your child and his/her parents. They will be giving you a folder with information about the school year during this time. Do not feel that you have to do anything special during your visit. It’s a brief introduction to begin that important trusting relationship. Our teachers have two designated days they can offer these visits. If you are not able to set up a visit, do not stress. There will be a day designated for you to drop by the school and receive your folder of information. 

We are about building trusting relationships. That starts with understanding who we are and feeling confident that we want what’s best for all our students.

We have five Lifelong Guidelines and nineteen LIFESKILLS we teach, model, and live by at Clayton-Bradley Academy. These skills prepare us to be the best in the classroom and in our communities. Please partner with us by target talking these LIFESKILLS with your child at home, as we will do the same at school.
