Welcome to the Upper School

Dear New Upper School CBA Families,

Welcome to the Clayton-Bradley Academy family! As July approaches, we are counting down the days until your student walks through our doors. Choosing a school is a deeply personal decision, and we are incredibly honored that you have entrusted us with your child’s future.

We know that joining a new school community brings a mix of excitement and anticipation for both students and parents. Please rest assured that from day one, your child will be truly known, supported, challenged, and connected. At Clayton-Bradley, we see students as individuals, and we are committed to mentoring them as they find their unique place in our community.

In July, we will kick off the year with experiences designed to break the ice and help your student start building relationships with peers. For our middle schoolers, this looks like the energy and excitement of the Blaze Retreat, where they will dive into team challenges and get to know their Council House. For our high schoolers, the Summit series offers an intentional space to bond, set goals, and learn about their interests before their Senior Capstone projects. Additionally, our teachers will fill the first few days of school with fun relationship-building activities. Whether they are collaborating on a creative hands-on project or laughing through a team-building game in advisory, your student will start to find and connect with the CBA community.

We also believe that education is a team effort, and you, as a parent, are a vital part of our team. We want you to feel just as connected and at home here as your student does. Throughout the year, you will have plenty of chances to connect with other CBA families and engage with our staff. You will also get to see your child’s growth firsthand during our student-led conferences, where they will proudly share their projects and progress with you.

We are so excited to see the unique impact your child will make on the Clayton-Bradley Academy legacy, and we cannot wait to get to know your entire family.

Welcome to CBA, and Go Blazers!

Warmly,

Dr. Rachel Evans
